1. Who we are

Christian Missionary Television (CMTV) is a broadcasting directorate of Help Without Boundaries Initiative (HWBI), a Nigerian organisation registered as CAC/IT/NO 50855 with its registered office at Boskel Road, Elenwo, Off Port Harcourt / Aba Express Way, P.O. Box 6477, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.References to "CMTV", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy refer to CMTV operating under HWBI.

2. Information we collect

  • Contact details you give us — name, email, phone, country — when you donate, request prayer, subscribe to devotionals, or contact us.
  • Donation information processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
  • Prayer requests and testimonies you choose to submit.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser, device type, pages viewed — collected automatically to operate the site securely.

3. How we use your information

  • To process donations and issue receipts.
  • To respond to prayer requests and pastoral enquiries.
  • To send devotionals, updates and ministry communications you have requested.
  • To safeguard our broadcast platform against fraud and abuse.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations in Nigeria.

4. Legal basis

We process personal data under the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 on the bases of consent, contract performance (e.g. processing a donation you initiated), legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in advancing the charitable and ministry purposes of CMTV and HWBI.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell personal data. We share limited data with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform: Stripe (payments), Supabase / Lovable Cloud (hosting and database), and our email provider. Each is contractually bound to protect your data.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside Nigeria. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the provider's published safeguards and the NDPA's transfer provisions.

7. Your rights

You may request access to your data, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent at any time, and object to certain uses. To exercise any right, email privacy@cmtv.ng.

8. Retention

Donation records are retained as required by Nigerian tax and accounting law. Other personal data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes set out above.

9. Children

CMTV Kids' content is designed for family viewing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
